In 2002 Tony Johnson, was invited to steer a working party which comprised representatives from The Law Society, the RICS, the RTPI, The Bar Council, IRRV and the CAAV to create an association that would bring together all interested parties. This culminated in a Constitution for an organisation which is now governed by an elected National Committee comprising officers drawn from across the professions together with co-optees who have appropriate, specialist skills to make a significant contribution. Members of the CPA are either ‘full’ or ‘corporate’ (public) which enables diverse contributions from both the public and private sectors.
As part of our governance agenda, the CPA has established regional convenors and specialised working parties.
