High-value work
Working on a Phase 1 region (between London and Birmingham), you’ll manage and deliver key aspects of our land programme. You’ll own a specific case list – including high-value acquisitions in excess of £100m, complex reconfigurations or sensitive acquisitions. You’ll ensure all compensation claims are negotiated to settlement within policy, legal guidelines and budget parameters, so that land is available to the project at the right time.
Connecting with people
Building relationships will be key- especially with affected property owners, individuals and organisations. You’ll also lead external agents on property-side negotiations, while providing expert advice to the delivery function, town planning, environment and petition management stakeholders, to inform decision making in those areas from a property perspective.
Leading negotiations
On top of your land acquisition experience - ideally gained on large infrastructure projects – you’ll bring proven supplier management skills, broad knowledge of how compulsory purchase works and the ability to lead sensitive negotiations with tact and resilience.
